Earth, Wind, and Sound:

A Celebration of Nature
through Music and Poetry

Friday, March 21, 7:30 PM

120 min

In celebration of World Poetry Day, NOW presents Dvořák's enchanting Serenade for Woodwinds alongside the evocative poetry of an Indian American poet, Neha Misra, whose words echo the beauty of the earth and the urgent call for its preservation. As the serene, lyrical melodies of Dvořák's woodwind ensemble fill the Mansion at Strathmore, they are interwoven with the poet's reflections on nature, capturing the delicate balance between the world we cherish and the need to protect it. This unique blend of music and spoken word creates a contemplative atmosphere, inviting the audience to reflect on the harmony between art and the natural world and to be inspired by both the music and the message to preserve the planet's beauty for future generations.
