A rising star, Kevin Zhu shines in Bernstein's Serenade after Plato's Symposium, a stirring masterpiece that showcases Zhu's virtuosic playing and the lush, nuanced sounds of the orchestra.

And that's just the beginning. Our program also includes the Carmen Suite, an arrangement of the famous Bizet opera by Rodion Shchedrin, a stunning reinterpretation that explores the intense passions and desires of its characters. Joining NOW is the award-winning Mexican-American choreographer Gabriel Mata, who invites us to delve deep into the many layers of love, both beautiful and tumultuous.
